Maruti Suzuki India has released the first teaser picture of the much-awaited new-generation WagonR hatchback. The official picture reveals the rear three-quarter of the hatchback with a tagline “Big New WagonR’. The new Maruti WagonR 2019 features taillamps inspired by Volvo along with a floating roof, C-pillar with black plastic and bold flowing side creases. The updated model continues to carry the signature tall boy stance.
As the latest spy pictures reveal, the new Maruti WagonR 2019 will feature a rectangular grille with a chrome strip, larger headlamps, revised bumper, a flatter bonnet and fog lamps with noticeable casing at the front end. The dual-tone (Beige & Brown) interior with features such as new instrument cluster, a SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system and steering wheel with chrome accents and control buttons will look more refreshing and premium. The new Maruti WagonR 2019 will also get dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed warning system and seatbelt reminder as standard safety features. Engine setup will include a 1.2L, four-cylinder petrol (VXi and ZXi)and a 1.0L, three-cylinder petrol motor (LXi and VXi). The former makes 83PS with 113Nm and the latter one delivers 67PS with 90Nm. The hatchback carline will also be made available with CNG and LPG fuel options. Both manual and AMT transmissions will be on offer.
