Scheduled to launch by mid August, the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift’s bookings have been commenced at dealership level. Certain Hyundai dealers are accepting bookings for the vehicle at an initial sum of Rs 21,000. Though, the carmaker hasn’t officially communicated anything about pre-bookings of the sedan. In order to clear the stock of the pre-facelift Ciaz, dealers are offering discounts of over Rs 1 lakh.
The refreshed version of the Ciaz sedan will see subtle design changes along with a major mechanical update under the hood. Initially, the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift will be made available with a new 1.5L K-Series petrol engine that’s good enough for 104bhp (106PS) and 138Nm of torque. For the first time, Maruti Suzuki will introduce the SHVS (Suzuki Hybrid Vehicle System) mild hybrid technology with the petrol motor.

The diesel version of the facelifted Ciaz will be introduced at a later stage (possibly around October, 2018). Currently, the sedan comes with a 1.3-litre Multijet oil burner making 89bhp with 200Nm of torque. Visually, the new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 2018 will look slightly more refreshing than the current model. Some of its key changes will include new front grille, revised headlamps with new DRLs, larger fog lamps, revised front bumper, newly-designed alloys and re-designed taillamps. Most of the cabin features will be carried over from the pre-facelift model. Though, the 2019 Maruti Ciaz facelift is likely to get a new large LCD display integrated in the centre of two pods and a new 7-inch Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and an in-built navigation system.
