Maruti Baleno Limited Edition

The new Maruti Baleno Limited Edition will be around Rs 35,000 more expensive than the regular model.

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that it will launch a special edition of the popular Baleno hatchback during this festive season (i.e. in coming months). The carmaker has revealed the Maruti Baleno Limited Edition on its official website. After the Ignis and the Swift limited editions, it will be the third one to join the band wagon.

The new Maruti Baleno Limited Edition will receive a few cosmetic upgrades over the regular model. At the front end, the special edition will feature contrast grey body kit. What will further differentiate it from the standard model are the side body moulding and rear and side skirts. Read – Toyota Baleno Hatchback – What To Expect

A few changes will also be made inside the cabin. The new Maruti Baleno Limited Edition will have special dual-tone seat covers with quilted design, cushion and 3D floor mats. Features such as a smart key finder and illuminated scuff plates will also be on offer.

The Baleno’s limited edition will be offered with the same petrol and diesel engines that do duty on the regular model. The 1.2L VVT petrol unit delivers 83.1bhp at 6,000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The diesel version makes use of a 1.3L DDiS motor that’s good enough for 74bhp at 4,000rpm and 190Nm of torque at 2,000rpm. Mileage figures of the hatchback stand at 21.4kmpl (petrol) – 27.39kmpl (diesel). Read – Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Cars In India

At the pricing front, the new Maruti Baleno Limited Edition will be around Rs 35,000 more expensive than the regular Baleno. The Indo-Japanese carmaker is planning to give a mid-life update to the Baleno hatchback sometime next year. The updated version of the car is reported to get Maruti Suzuki’s newly-developed 1.5L diesel engine instead of 1.3L DDiS diesel motor. The new oil burner will be compliant to the upcoming BSVI emission norms.
