Volkswagen, today, announced a significant improvement in driver safety with the introduction of ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) as standard safety fitment across all variants of the Polo hatchback and Vento sedan. Both the vehicles with new safety fitment are available at all VW dealerships in India. As a reminder, Volkswagen had introduced dual front airbags as standard on the Polo hatch and Vento in 2014. This also made it India’s first auto manufacturer to offer airbag safety in the premium hatchback segment.
With aforementioned fitments, both the cars will set new benchmarks in safety by adopting global standards for all Volkswagen products in India. Volkswagen says that with the introduction of ABS and dual airbag as standard features, the company once again adheres to its commitment towards India and caters the exceptionally high safety standards that are intrinsic to the brand’s DNA.
