Volkswagen Ameo GT Line Launched At Rs 7.99 Lakh
Volkswagen India recently introduced the 2019 Polo hatchback and Vento sedan facelifts. Both model lineups received a GT Line trim priced at Rs 13.17 lakh and Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Now, the company has expanded the Ameo subcompact sedan lineup with a new GT Line trim priced at Rs 7.99 lakh (petrol) and Rs 9.99 lakh (diesel). All prices are ex-showroom.
The 2019 Volkswagen Ameo GT Line trim receives a few sporty design upgrades along with a new Sunset Red colour scheme. It wears GT Line badge on the front fenders and decal on the lower end of the doors. Interior and features of the 2019 Volkswagen Ameo GT Line are exactly similar to the Highline Plus variant. It gets leather wrapped steering wheel, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android support, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVMs, electrically foldable ORVMs and more. Engine setup, too, remains unchanged. The 2019 Volkswagen Ameo GT Line uses the same naturally-aspirated 1.0L petrol and 1.5L turbocharged diesel TDI engines generating 76PS with 95Nm and 110PS with 250Nm respectively. Both powertrains get a 5-speed manual gearbox, while a 7-speed DSG is available only with the diesel motor.
