2019 Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo India Launch On 12th September
Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo, the sportier version of the fully-flagged Fortuner SUV, will hit Indian roads on 12th September, 2019. The SUV’s new variant has already been showcased to dealers at an event in Bangalore. Designed by Toyota’s racing division (TRD – Toyota Racing Development), the Fortuner TRD Sportivo has been adored with sporty design bits and a few special features.
The sportier version of the Fortuner wears a new grille, revised bumper and fog lamps at the front end. There is a signature TRD badging with red accents on the front and rear. Other highlights include faux skid plates up front and rear, black finishes on the door section and re-designed rear bumper. It will be made available with dual-tone Black Roof with Pearl White colour scheme.
Interior layout is exactly similar to the regular model. Though, it features a dual-tone Black and Red theme along with seats with leather finish, contrast red stitching and embossed TRD badging. For entertainment purpose, the Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo offers an 11-speaker JBL audio system. Aiming to enhance its performance, the carmaker equips the new variant with bigger disc brakes, 20-inch blackened alloy wheels and TRD suspension setup with red springs. No changes will be made under the skin. The Toyota Fotuner TRD Sportivo will use the same 2.8L, 4-cylinder diesel engine that’s good enough for 174bhp and 450Nm.
