The Indian arm of Toyota Motor Corporation recently showcased the new, top-end Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo variant to dealers. In 2018, the carmaker unveiled the TRD Sportivo 2 package for the Fortuner in Thailand. This sporty body kit adds minor design changes and feature upgrades to the SUV. Though, its powertrains remain unchanged. Here’re 5 key features of the India-bound Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo.

Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo, the sportier variant of the SUV, has been designed and developed by the carmaker’s in-house tuning division Toyota Racing Development (TRD). TRD improves performance of the vehicles and supports Toyota’s racing interests across the world. It develops products like superchargers, performance-oriented wheels and suspension components.
2. Improved Styling
In terms of design, the Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo looks slightly different than the regular model. It wears some sporty bits such as a new front grille, revised fog lamp assembly, sportier front and rear bumpers, faux skid plates up front and rear, signature TRD badging with red accents and red and black finishes on the door section.
