The new Altas Black colour scheme will be offered on the XM, ZT and ZX trims.

Tata Harrier premium 5-seater SUV might soon receive a new Altas Black colour scheme. The new paint job will be made available on the XM, ZT and ZX trims. While the entry-level XE trim will be exclusively offered in the Orcus White shade, the top-spec XT and XZ trims will be available in Calisto Copper (flagship colour).

One must note that the company hasn’t yet listed the new ‘Atlas Black’ colour on the official website. Currently, the Tata Harrier comes in five colour schemes – Calisto Copper, Thermisto Gold, Ariel Silver, Telesto Grey and Orcus White. Read – Tata Altroz & Altroz EV Explained In Picture Gallery

For power, the SUV makes use of a 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine that’s good for 140PS and 350Nm of torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed manual gearbox. The SUV comes with front-wheel-drive system only.

In coming months, the home-grown carmaker will introduce an automatic variant of the Tata Harrier. The SUV’s new automatic trim will feature a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed transmission. The Harrier is also reported to get a sunroof, updated rear suspension system and 4X4 drivetrain system.

The carmaker has also confirmed that the 7-seater version of the Tata Harrier will also see a release by the end of this year. Globally, the Harrier 7-seater will be introduced as Tata Buzzard. Though, it will carry a different nameplate in the Indian market. Tata Altroz, the premium hatchback from the home-grown carmaker, will also be rolled out by mid 2019.
