Tata Harrier Automatic Variant To Launch By Mid 2019
Tata Harrier automatic variant is estimated to cost around Rs 14-15 lakh.
Tata Motors marked its entry in the growing premium SUV space with the all-new Harrier that went on sale last month. Initially, the Tata Harrier has been made available with a 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine with a 6-speed manual and FWD system. Now, the carmaker is planning to add an automatic variant to the SUV lineup. Rumour has it that the Tata Harrier automatic will feature a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque convertor gearbox.
As far as launch is concerned, the Tata Harrier automatic will hit showrooms in coming months. Compared to its manual counterparts, the automatic version will surely be priced slightly premium. It’s estimated to cost around Rs 14-15 lakh. Currently, the SUV carline comes in four trims – XE, XM, XT and XZ – priced at Rs 12.69 lakh, Rs 13.75 lakh, Rs 14.95 lakh and Rs 16.25 lakh respectively. Similar to the manual variants, the Tata Harrier automatic will offer three driving modes – Eco, City and Sport along with ESP terrain response modes – Normal, Rough and Wet. Some of its key features include a floating Island 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with high resolution display and smartphone connectivity, JBL audio system with 4-speakers, 1 subwoofer with amplifier, leather seat upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob, Xenon HID projector headlamps, dual function LED DRLs with turn indicators, 3D LED taillamps, 17-inch alloys, etc.
