Tata Harrier Gets Software Updates For Engine Noise Reduction
Tata Harrier has received new software updates to reduce its engine noise level. The updates can be installed for free at any authorized Tata Motors dealership. The ECU (engine control unit), BCM (body control module) and CCM (cruise control module) of the SUV have been updated along with the infotainment software.
In July 2019, the Harrier model lineup witnessed four upgrades including finely tuned steering, optimized clutch, a new software R10.X for infotainment system and special NVH tuning. These changes were based on feedback of customers and media experts.
Recently, the carmaker introduced PentaCare extended warranty package for the Harrier SUV. The new package extends the timeline of the warranty package up to 5 years and unlimited kilometers. One can get the PentaCare warranty package at Rs 25,960 within 90 days of the purchase of the Harrier.
Aiming to further boost its sales, Tata Motors recently rolled out the Harrier Dark Edition with 14 design enhancements. Painted in a new Atlas Black shade, the special edition features a new Blackstone interior theme with Benecke Kaliko Blackstone leather upholstery, new gunmetal grey chrome pack, Blackstone Matrix dashboard, black door handles, blackened skid plates, grey headlamp bezels and 17-inch black alloys.
The 5-seater SUV from the home-grown carmaker also received an optional Webasto sunroof as an accessory that costs an additional Rs 95,000. It comes with 2 years of warranty. In coming months, the Tata Harrier will get more updates including a more powerful diesel engine, a new 1.6L turbo petrol engine and a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
