Tata Altroz Teaser Video Released Ahead Of Its Launch
Tata Altroz will be positioned between the Tata Tigor and Nexon SUV.
Tata Altroz premium hatchback is ready to hit roads in coming weeks. Ahead of its official launch, the carmaker has dropped the first teaser video of the vehicle revealing its “enhanced capabilities and exceptional handling”. Official website of the Altroz is live now; however, it needs 1 lakh clicks/visitors to unveil the entire car.
Promoted with a hashtag of #UrbanCarRefined, the Tata Altroz will gun up straight against the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Hyundai i20. In the company’s lineup, the new premium hatchback will sit between the Tata Tigor compact sedan and Nexon subcompact SUV. Prices of the vehicle are likely to start from Rs 5.5 lakh and go up to Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

First showcased at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Tata Altroz features Impact 2.0 design language and is based on the ALFA architecture. The premium hatch is likely to be packed with multiple best-in-class connectivity features including a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. It will also get a multi functional steering wheel, a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The Tata Altroz is likely to comply with new safety norms with standard speed alert system, reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminders for front passengers, ABS (anti-lock braking system), EBD (electronic brake-force distribution) and CSC (cornering stability control). Both petrol (85PS, 1.2L) and diesel (90bhp, 1.5L) powertrains will be on offer. Initially, the premium hatch will be made available with manual gearbox only. The automatic transmission might be offered at a later stage.
