Japanese automaker, Honda will showcase a new City car, which is expected to be the next-gen Brio hatchback, at GIIAS 2018. Not just Honda, Suzuki will also introduce a new City Car concept at the same event which will start on 2 August, 2018 in Jakarta.
It was speculated that Suzuki will unveil the new-generation Wagon R 7-seater model at the 2018 IIMS. For people not in the know, Suzuki had showcased the Wagon R 3 Rows Concept at the IIMS 2013. According to the Kompass, Suzuki will display a City car and in a concept form.
Speaking to media, Harold Donel, Head of Product Development and Marketing Research, Suzuki Indomobil Sales said that the new model is city car and most importantly it is a sub-brand of Suzuki that is made specifically for the Indonesian market only. This model is not likely to be the Concept Future-S that was introduced at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. Mr. Donel further confirmed that the new city car concept will enter into a production form. For Indian market, Suzuki will launch the new-generation Ertiga, Ciaz facelift and new WagonR this year. The company will also launch the production version of the Future S concept and an all-new premium SUV in 2019.
