New Maruti Ertiga 6-Seater Model Might Come To India – Report
The Maruti Ertiga 6-seater will be exclusively retailed via NEXA dealerships.
Maruti Suzuki India recently introduced the second-generation Ertiga MPV at a starting price of Rs 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). According to a latest media report, the company is also planning to bring in the 6-seater version of the MPV by mid next year. While the new Maruti Ertiga 2018 is retailed via Arena dealerships, the Ertiga 6-seater will be exclusively sold via NEXA premium dealerships. However, there is no official word on the same.
The report further suggests that the Maruti Ertiga 6 seater will have 2+2+2 seating arrangement instead of the regular configuration with captain seats in the second and third row. The new Maruti Ertiga 6 seater version is likely to receive minor exterior and interior enhancement over the regular model. The new model is likely to derive some of its design bits from the Suzuki Ertiga Sport concept that was first previewed at the GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) in August, 2018.
On the outside, the Maruti Ertiga 6 seater might feature a blacked out grille, smoked headlamps, sportier side skirts and a new aero kit with a roof spoiler and underbody spoilers as we have seen on the Ertiga Sport concept. The carmaker might also offer new colour scheme on the Ertiga 6-seater model. Interior is likely to have contrast highlights and new premium features. The MPV’s new variant could be offered with the new 1.5L K15B SHVS petrol engine that’s good for 104bhp and 138Nm of torque.
