Suzuki has showcased the Sport concepts of its entire range at the 2018 GIIAS. The Suzuki Ertiga Sport is one of them, which looks stunning. It is based on the new-generation Ertiga, which was unveiled at the 2018 Indonesia International Motor Show in May. The Sport Edition of the new Ertiga comes equipped with several cosmetic upgrades and new aggressive design elements.
In terms of design changes, the new Suzuki Ertiga Sport model gets wide bumper extensions and a new mesh front grille with smoked LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights. The company has tweaked some of the mechanical parts of this model, including a lowered suspension setup. It rides on bigger 18-inch wheels shod with 225/40 cross-section low profile tyres. The side skirts are embossed with ‘Suzuki Sport’ badging, while the rear comes with a larger boomerang shaped tail-lights, a big spoiler and faux diffuser. The Suzuki Ertiga Sport model was wrapped in a metallic brown paint scheme. Powering the new Ertiga is a newly developed 1.5-litre K15B VVT petrol engine that churns out 107bhp of power at 6,000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit. The all-new Ertiga is based on the new-generation Suzuki HEARTECT platform that also underpins the new Swift twins. In India, the new Ertiga will go on sale during festive season – around Diwali. It is expected to be sold through Maruti’s NEXA premium dealership offering alongside the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz and the S-Cross.
