The 2019 Honda Passport is claimed to offer class-leading cabin space and cargo area.

The Japanese carmaker has unveiled the 2019 Honda Passport 5-seater SUV at the LA Auto Show. In the company’s global lineup, the Passport sits between the Honda CR-V and the Honda Pilot. The company claims that the new SUV offers “a unique combination of on-road driving refinement and off-road adventure capability along with best-in-class interior space”.

The 2019 Honda Passport carline is spread across four trims- Sport, upgraded EX-L, high-tech Touring and fully-loaded Elite. Sitting on a monocoque chassis, the SUV makes use of a 3.5L V6 petrol engine paired to a 9-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The SUV can be brought either with the front wheel drivetrain (FWD) system or Honda’si-VTM4 all-wheel drive (AWD) system. The AWD system delivers 70% engine’s power to each rear wheels and offers three driving modes – Mud, Sand and Snow. The 2019 Honda Passport is claimed to offer class-leading cabin space and cargo area (1.167L). One can further expand the boot space up to 2,206L by folding the rear split seats in a ratio of 60:40. The carmaker packs the SUV with several advanced amenities including an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 215-watt audio system with a 5-inch display monitor, 6 speakers and a subwoofer. Read – Upcoming Honda Cars In India

All variants of the 2019 Honda Passport get Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistive technologies and advanced safety features including road departure mitigation, collision mitigation braking system with forward collision warning, lane keeping assistance system, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control.
