New Hyundai Grand i10 Coming in 2019 – Bigger and Spacious

2017 Hyundai Grand i10 design Review

The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 will be longer and spacious than the current car.

Korean automaker, Hyundai will launch the all-new Grand i10 hatchback in the Indian market by the end of this year. In fact, the new model has already been spotted multiple times while testing in India as well as on foreign soil. The new-gen i10 will be based on the new Santro’s platform, which will also underpin the upcoming Hyundai Styx sub-4 meter SUV.

The spy images reveal that the new Grand i10 will grow in size and will offer more legroom and cabin space for the rear occupants. It is also expected that the design of the hatchback won’t see a drastic change. Instead, Hyundai will retain the current design and will make minimal changes to keep things fresh in the market. The new Hyundai Grand i10 is expected to come with the funky headlamps, signature cascading grille with limited or no chrome enhancement, centre-mounted daytime running lights and the sculpted bonnet. The front and rear bumpers could have been revised for more sporty feel.

The Hyundai i10’s coloured interior will be phased out. It is expected to receive the dual-tone black and beige colour theme, while the feature-list is expected to receive a major boost. The hatchback will receive new steering wheel, new air-con vents, cooled glove box and rear AC Vents. The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 could receive the upgraded version of the large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 2019 Hyundai Grand is most likely to be offered in petrol version only. It will be powered by the BSVI compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine. For transmission options, the hatchback will get a 5-speed manual and AMT unit. The new Santro’s platform is versatile enough to accommodate electric and hybrid powertrains. There is a possibility that the next Grand i10 could also receive an electric variant in future.
