The next-gen Hyundai Grand i10 hatchback is reported to go on sale in August, 2019.
The South Korean carmaker, Hyundai aims to expand its Indian product portfolio with a range of new models in 2019. The plan outlines three important models – a subcompact SUV based on the Carlino concept, the new-generation Grand i10 hatchback and the Kona electric SUV. Besides this, the company is also working on the next-generation Elite i20 premium hatchback and Xcent compact sedan. The carmaker will also give a mid-life update to its highly popular mid-size sedan – Verna.
The Hyundai i10 hatchback was first introduced in 2007 and entered into its second-generation in 2013 with the Grand i10 nameplate. The vehicle received a mid-life facelift in 2017 and now the carmaker is ready to introduce its third-generation model. The new 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 will be boasted with several new features and improved styling. The hatchback’s new model is currently in its testing phase and has been caught on camera multiple times. Set for a generation change, the Hyundai Grand i10 will witness comprehensive aesthetic and feature changes. The carmaker will also enhance its comfort and safety levels. Safety fitments such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, speed belt reminder and a speed alert system could be made standard across the model lineup. Besides this, the powertrains will also be calibrated to meet BS6 compliance. All these attributes will surely make it expensive than the outgoing model. New 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 Specifications
Engine mechanism of the new Hyundai Grand i10 2019 is likely to remain unchanged. Similar to the current model, the new-generation version will come with two powertrains – a 1.2L petrol and a diesel unit. Hyundai, however, might tune both engines for meeting the upcoming BS6 emission standards. The Kappa VTVT gasoline motor returns a claimed power of 81.86bhp at 6000rpm and 113.75Nm at 4000rpm. The CRDi diesel unit, on the other hand, pushes out a maximum power output of 73.97bhp at 4000rpm against 190.24Nm of torque between 1750rpm – 2250rpm. New 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 Mileage
As mentioned above, the new Hyundai Grand i10 2019 will continue to come with the same 1.2L petrol and diesel engine options. The new-generation model will surely be as fuel economical as the current model. The diesel version delivers a claimed mileage of 24.0kmpl, and the petrol model promises 18.9kmpl – 19.1kmpl.

New Hyundai Grand i10 2019 will share most of its design bits with the new Hyundai Elantra facelift. The latest spy pictures reveal that the hatchback’s new model will feature new headlamps, revised bumper and re-designed fog lamp inserts at the front end. Featuring a pack of new comfort and connectivity features, the interior of new 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 will look entirely different from the current model. While the three-spoke multi-function steering wheel will be retained, it will get newly-designed dashboard, centre console and instrument cluster. The infotainment system will be integrated on the dashboard. It will feature a touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. New 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 Safety
Currently, the hatchback comes with the standard dual airbags (driver & passenger), ABS (anti-lock braking system) and immobilizer. Features such as smarty key, central locking, front fog lamps, rear parking sensors, rear camera with display on audio and Impact sensing auto door unlock are restricted to the range-topping trims.
