New Maruti Ertiga
Launched in April 2022, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift comes with an upgraded 1.5L petrol Dualjet engine and a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with paddleshifters. The motor makes a top power of 103bhp and 136.8Nm of torque. It’s available with both manual and automatic gearbox options. The carmaker claims that the updated Ertiga offers a mileage of 20.51kmpl with the manual and 20.30kmpl with the automatic transmission. 2022 Maruti XL6
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift was introduced in April this year at a starting price of Rs 11.29 lakh. Similar to the updated Ertiga, it gets an upgraded 1.5L petrol engine boosted with Dualjet technology and mild hybrid system. The motor comes paired to a new 6-speed automatic gearbox. Inside, the MPV features a 360 degree camera, connected car tech and ventilated front seats. Kia Carens
Kia Motor entered into the affordable MPV segment with the Carens in February 2022. The model lineup comes in 5 variants, 3 engines and manual and automatic gearbox options. It can be had with a 115bhp. 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, a 140bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5L diesel engine. The diesel automatic is available with the fully-loaded Luxury Plus variant and turbo-petrol DCT comes in the mid-spec Prestige Plus and top-end variant. Mahindra Scorpio N
Mahindra Scorpio N is surely one of the major new car launches of this year. The SUV model lineup is being made available with 2.2L diesel (132bhp/300Nm and 175bhp/370Nm) and 2.0L petrol (203bhp/370Nm-380Nm) engines. The 175bhp, diesel unit comes with three on-road drive modes – Zip, Zap and Zoom. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard, while the turbo-petrol and top-end diesel variants get a 6-speed automatic transmission. Mahindra Scorpio Classic
Mahindra Scorpio Classic is essentially the updated version of the SUV’s previous generation model. The SUV has been offered in two variants – S and S11 – priced at Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh respectively. Under the hood, it employs an updated 2.2L turbo diesel, Gen2 mHawk diesel engine making 132bhp and 300Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed manual gearbox. 2022 MG Gloster
MG Motor India recently introduced its flagship Gloster SUV with minor cosmetic and feature upgrades. Prices of the facelifted model start at Rs 31.99 lakh and go up to Rs 40.77 lakh. The 2022 MG Gloster SUV receives i-Smart connected car app offering 35 new Hinglish voice commands and it’s compatible with Android-based smartwatches.
