MG Motor India has launched the new 2022 MG Gloster SUV at a starting price of Rs 31.99 lakh. The SUV is offered in 3 trim levels – Super, Sharp and Savvy – priced between Rs 31.20 lakh and Rs 40.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Savvy trim is offered in both 6 and 7-seat layouts with 4X2 & 4×4 drivetrains, while the Super and Sharp are only offered in 7-seat layout in 4×2 drivetrain.
The 2022 MG Gloster is offered with new and advanced safety, style, and technology enhancements. The existing Gloster’s Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) has additional first-in-segment features such as Door Open Warning (DOW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Lane Change Assist (LCA).
The 4WD version of the 2022 MG Gloster SUV could come with an all-new British Windmill Turbine-themed alloy wheel. The SUV will also come with ‘Deep Golden’ colour option along with the existing colour options include Metal Black, Metal Ash and Warn White. The new model retains its best-in-segment 12.28-inch touchscreen infotainment system & Audio system with 12 speakers along with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay including the first-in-segment Shortpedia news app & Ganna song search via voice commands. In fact, the connected car tech will come with more than 75 connected car features.
The updated MG Gloster comes equipped with features an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with heating, ventilation, message & memory function, a 360-degree camera, a dual panoramic sunroof, 3-zone climate control, cruise control, traction control, 6 airbags, etc. It comes with Level 1 ADAS with features like autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring system, lane keep assist, collision avoidance system, etc.
The 2022 MG Gloster is offered with two diesel engine options – a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo. While the former is good for 163bhp and 375Nm, the twin turbo unit produces 218bhp and 480Nm of torque. The twin turbo diesel engine comes with the on-demand 4WD (four-wheel drive) system with selectable drive modes. Both motors come with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV features an intelligent 4WD, an all-terrain system with 7 modes.
The new Gloster will come with a personalised car ownership program “MY MG SHIELD” with over 180 after-sales service options. Customers will be offered a standard 3+3+3 package i.e., warranty of 3 years unlimited kilometers, 3 years of roadside assistance and 3 labour-free periodic services.
