BYD Atto 3 electric SUV is ready to hit Indian roads on 11th October 2022. It’s already on sale in right-hand-drive markets including New Zealand, Singapore and Australia. Here, the EV will be brought through SKD (semi-knocked down) route and its production will take place at the company Sriperumbudur near Chennai. Prices of the Atto 3 are likely to start around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Ahead of its market arrival, the carmaker has revealed its interior featuring dual-tone beige and black theme. One can notice its minimal design with a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It has a flat-bottom steering with mounted controls and a 5-inch digital instrument cluster. The electric SUV has uniquely designed air vents, gear knob, door handles and creases on the dashboard.
The list of features also includes an automatic climate control, 6-way power adjustable driver seat, 4-way power adjustable front passenger seat, wireless phone charging, electrically adjustable front seats, PM2.5 air filter, automatic climate control, driver and front passenger heated seats, synthetic leather seats, a 360 degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, all LED lighting, an electric opening for a tailgate.
With respect to safety, the BYD Atto 3 comes with 6 airbags, hill decent control, traction control system, electronic stability program, tyre pressure monitoring system, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, a seat belt reminder system, rear parking sensors and a speed alert system.
As per leaked information, the Atto 3 will be available with a 49.92kWh BYD Blade Battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. It will deliver a range of 345km (WLTP cycle) on a single charge. There will be an electric motor offering power worth 201bhp and 310Nm of torque. It accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds. The SUV will also come with a 60.49kWh battery offering a range of 420km on a single charge.
