Mahindra Scorpio N – Book Now & Get Delivery In September 2024

The new Mahindra Scorpio N has been receiving an overwhelming response from buyers, as the waiting period hit almost 2 years. First 25,000 bookings sold out in under a minute and 1 lakh bookings were recorded in an hour. The company plans to deliver close to 25,000 units before the end of this year.

Not just Scorpio N, the Mahindra XUV700 also has a waiting period of close to 2 years. The company is struggling to keep up with the rising demand for SUVs, as it currently facing semi-conductors shortage. However, the chip shortage problem is easing and Mahindra hopes to increase the production to meet the rising demand.

Mahindra Scorpio N AWD, AT

The new Mahindra Scorpio N is offered in 5 trim levels – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L. The Z8L currently commands a waiting period of around 85-90 weeks. The Z2 and Z4 variants have a waiting period of around 90-95 weeks, while the Z6 and Z8 trims come with a waiting period of 100-105 weeks. The new bookings will be cleared by September 2024.

Mahindra has also upgraded the older Scorpio SUV, which is rebranded as the Scorpio Classic. This model has a waiting period of around 6 to 8 weeks. It is being offered in S and S11 variants, which are priced at Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV will come with 3 seating configurations – 7-seater with captain seats in the middle row & a bench in the 3rd row, 7-seater with bench in the 2nd row and two jump seats in the 3rd row, and 9-seater with a bench in the middle row and jump seats in the rear.

The Scorpio Classic is powered by an updated 2.2L Gen 2 mHawk turbo diesel engine that produces 132bhp and 300Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new Mahindra Scorpio N is offered with two engine options – a 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2L mHawk diesel. While the petrol engine pushes out 200bhp and 370Nm (MT)/ 380Nm (AT) of torque, the diesel engine offers 130bhp and 300Nm on lower variants and 175bhp with 370Nm (MT)/ 400Nm (AT) on higher variants. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
