Maruti Suzuki has rolled out the updated XL6 MPV at a starting price of Rs 11.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model lineup comes in three trims – Zeta, Alpha, Alpha Plus – powered by a new, more fuel efficient engine. The 2022 Maruti XL6 facelift features a new 1.5L Dualjet petrol engine with start-stop technology.
It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the newly-launched Ertiga. The motor has two injectors per cylinder that provide greater control over fuel injection, thus enhancing its overall performance and efficiency.

The new 1.5L Dualjet gasoline unit returns a claimed power of 103bhp at 6,000rpm and 136.8Nm at 4,400rpm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard. The ageing 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox, however, has been replaced by a new 6-speed unit with paddleshifters. The Maruti XL6 facelift is the first car in its segment to offer a 360 degree view camera and the second Maruti to feature Heads-Up Display (HUD) unit. It gets a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Studio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. The MPV comes with an in-built Suzuki Connect telematics offering 40+ features, ventilated seats and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
A few significant changes have also been made to its design and styling. The new 2022 Maruti XL6 carries a newly-designed grille, revised front and rear bumpers and new, machine finished 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Buyers get 6 exterior colour schemes to choose from including Arctic White, Grandeur Grey, Opulent Red, Brave Khaki, Splendid Silver and Celestial Blue. Colors like Red, Silver and Khaki can also be had with Black roof. Though, the dual-tone paint schemes are available only on the top-end Alpha Plus variants.
