New Mahindra Scorpio Classic Prices, Variants – 4 Major Details

2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic has finally gone on sale in India. The SUV model lineup is being offered in S and S11 variants, which are priced at Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh (all, ex-showroom). In the company’s product lineup, the new Scorpio Classic sits below the Scorpio N (the new-generation model).

Seating Arrangement

The SUV comes with three seating configurations – 7-seater with captain seats in the middle row and a bench in the third row, 7-seater with bench in the second row and two jump seats in the third row and 9-seater with a bench in the middle row and jump seats in the rear. Updated, Frugal Engine

Significant changes have been made to its exterior and interior. In fact, the SUV gets an updated 2.2L Gen 2 mHawk turbo diesel engine that makes a top power of 132bhp and 300Nm of torque. Power is delivered to rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. The carmaker says that the updated engines is 55kg lighter than the old unit that makes it more fuel efficient (by 14 percent) than before.

More Features

Inside, the new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic offers a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the phone mirroring capabilities. There are wooden inserts on the dashboard and centre console. The leatherette finish on the steering wheel and dual-tone Black and Beige interior theme further enhance its new look.

Features such as steering mounted controls, AC vents for the middle row, rear parking sensors, cruise control and dual airbags are also on offer. The carmaker has confirmed that the new Scorpio Classic will receive more airbags in near future to meet the new safety norms.

Improved Design

Talking about the design, the new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic features a newly-designed front grille with the brand’s new ‘Twin Peaks’ logo, revised front bumper with a faux skid plate, updated foglamp assembly, dual-tone cladding on the side profile and redesigned taillamps.
