MG Hector Gets Infotainment Software Update
MG Motor India has updated the touchscreen infotainment system of the Hector SUV. With the new software update, the company addresses customers’ complaint about its less responsive and lagging touchscreen display. The updated unit is more responsive and faster than the older one.
Besides this, the MG Hector’s 10.4-inch iSmart infotainment system is now also compatible to the Apple CarPlay with the latest iOS 13. It also comes with AI-powered voice assist, an embedded Airtel SIM card and pre-loaded apps. Check Out – MG Hector’s New Price List
The fully-loaded Sharp variant offers features like automatic headlights, heated ORVMs, 17-inch alloys, rain-sensing wipers, a 360-degree camera, a massive panoramic sunroof, mood lighting with eight colours and a four-way power adjustable co-driver’s seat. Read – MG Hector 6-Seater Revealed
For safety provision, the MG Hector has dual airbags, rear parking sensors, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), traction control, electronic stability programe (ESP) and disc brakes on all four wheels as standard. While the Smart variant comes with four airbags and the top-end Sharp trim offers six airbags.
MG’s all-new SUV comes with a FCA-sourced 2.0L diesel and a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine options. The oil burner makes 170bhp with 350Nm of torque, and the gasoline unit produces 143bhp with 250Nm. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard across the carline, while the turbo-petrol gets an optional 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Launched in June 2019, the MG Hector has been doing really well for the British carmaker in India. The SUV registered sales over 5,000 units within 3 months of its existence in the market. In September, the Hector recorded its highest ever monthly sales of 2608 units, which is four times higher than the Jeep Compass that registered sales of 603 units.
