MG Hector Records Highest Ever Monthly Sales In September
MG Motor India has sold 2608 units of the Hector SUV in September, 2019. It’s the highest ever monthly sales achieved by the vehicle since its launch in June, 2019. In July and August, the carmaker managed to retail 1508 units and 2018 units of the SUV respectively. Within 3 months of its launch, the MG Hector registered a commendable sales over 5000 units.
Recently, the British carmaker resumed Hector’s bookings and increased its prices by up to Rs 42,000. The company is ready to begin second shift operations at its Halol based plant from the next month.
The MG Hector was launched in the price range of Rs 12.18 lakh – Rs 16.88 lakh (all, ex-showroom). After the price hike, the SUV costs from Rs 12.48 lakh (for the Petrol MT Style trim) to Rs 17.28 lakh (for the top-end Diesel MT Sharp variant). Read – MG Hector 6-Seater Revealed
The carmaker has confirmed that the new prices are effective for bookings made on or after 25th September, 2019. The company will give preference to its already waiting 15,000 customers who have booked the vehicle earlier.

The Hector comes with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, a 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain options. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
