Toyota Vellfire MPV Is Ready For India Launch

Toyota Vellfire, the 6-seater luxury MPV from the Japanese carmaker, will hit Indian roads in October, 2019. Official launch date, however, is yet to be announced. The MPV will be brought via CBU (Completely Built Up) route under the government’s 2,500 unit import rule.

The Vellfire is estimated to be priced around Rs 75 lakh and will gun up straight against the Mercedes -Benz V-Class that costs between Rs 68.40 lakh (Expression Line) – Rs 81.90 lakh (Exclusive Line).

Visually, the Toyota Vellfire looks similar to the Toyota Alphard that was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. Though, the former gets a redesigned front grille, split all-LED headlamps with DRLs, revised front bumper and triangular housings for the fog lamps at the front end. The all-black interior theme looks sporty. The Toyota Vellfire will come with the ‘Executive Lounge’ package that includes two large ottomans seats for the middle row passengers, which are ventilated, powered and can be reclined. It also has powered sliding doors and tailgate, three-zone automatic climate control, two sunroofs, individual tray tables, mood lighting and seven airbags along with an optional black or beige interior theme.

Toyota Vellfire India Features

The global-spec Toyota Vellfire features a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360 degree surround view camera and a 10.2-inch screen for rear seat passengers. Under the hood, the Toyota Vellfire will feature a petrol-hybrid powertrain that includes a 2.5L engine and an electric motor producing 150bhp and 143bhp respectively. Its combined power output stands at 197bhp. The luxury MPV will come with a CVT gearbox and AWD (all-wheel-drive) system.
