Toyota Vellfire, the 6-seater luxury MPV from the Japanese carmaker, will hit Indian roads in October, 2019. Official launch date, however, is yet to be announced. The MPV will be brought via CBU (Completely Built Up) route under the government’s 2,500 unit import rule.
The Vellfire is estimated to be priced around Rs 75 lakh and will gun up straight against the Mercedes -Benz V-Class that costs between Rs 68.40 lakh (Expression Line) – Rs 81.90 lakh (Exclusive Line).
Visually, the Toyota Vellfire looks similar to the Toyota Alphard that was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. Though, the former gets a redesigned front grille, split all-LED headlamps with DRLs, revised front bumper and triangular housings for the fog lamps at the front end. Dimensionally, the Alphard is 10mm longer than the Vellfire. Check Out – 2020 Toyota C-HR Pictures & Details
The all-black interior theme looks sporty. The Toyota Vellfire will come with the ‘Executive Lounge’ package that includes two large ottomans seats for the middle row passengers, which are ventilated, powered and can be reclined. It also has powered sliding doors and tailgate, three-zone automatic climate control, two sunroofs, individual tray tables, mood lighting and seven airbags along with an optional black or beige interior theme.
The global-spec Toyota Vellfire features a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360 degree surround view camera and a 10.2-inch screen for rear seat passengers. Though, there is no clarity whether the India-spec version will offer these features or not. Read – New Toyota Compact SUV To Debut In October
