MG 360M MPV (Maruti Ertiga Rival) – 5 Things To Know
Morris Garages is planning to further expand its Indian product portfolio with four models including 2 new SUVs (Hector Plus and Gloster) and 2 MPVs (360M and G10). All four vehicles were showcased at the recently-concluded Auto Expo 2020. Talking about the MPVs, the MG 360M will be positioned against the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the MG G10 will compete with Kia Carnival. Here, we have listed the 5 important things about the 360M MPV that you should know.
1. Longer Than Ertiga
MG 360M, which is essentially the rebadged Baojun 360, measures 4615mm in length, 1735mm in width and 1660mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2750mm. Compared to its arch rival Maruti Ertiga, its 220mm longer and sits on 10mm longer wheelbase. While both models are equally wide, the Ertiga is 30mm taller.
2. More Spacious Than Ertiga
The 360M is a genuine 6-seater MPV with 2+2+2 seating configuration. With a slightly longer wheelbase, it will promise more cabin space than Ertiga. The second row independent seats are claimed to provide adequate space for all occupants. Read – 10 Facts About MG Gloster 7-seater SUV
By folding the second and third rows down, the new MG MPV offers a boot space of 1350-liters. The Maruti Ertiga, on the other hand, is a 7-seater MPV with 2+3+2 seating arrangement. Its cargo volume stands at 400-litres that can be expanded up to 550-litres with third row seats turned down and 803-litres with the second row seats down.
3. Feature-loaded
Interior of the MG 360M is feature-laden. The China-spec model (Baojun 360) comes equipped with features such as Bosch’s new-generation electronic stability program, a tyre pressure monitoring system, dual airbags for driver and co-passenger, a multifunction steering wheel, electric power steering, an 8-inch central control screen, an LCD dashboard, an electric sunroof and reverse image. 4. Powertrain
Under the hood, the new MG MPV employs a 1.5L petrol engine paired to a CVT automatic transmission. The gasoline motor pushes out a peak power of 103PS and a peak torque of 135Nm.
5. Expected Launch & Price
As of now, the British carmaker is evaluating the MG 360M MPV for the Indian market. If it comes here, the vehicle is expected to be priced between Rs 7.50 lakh to Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
