We informed you earlier that Hyundai has started testing the new 7-seater version of the Creta SUV. The SUV has been spotted testing again on the Korean soil, revealing new design highlights. This time, the rear profile of the SUV has been caught testing.

The 7-seat Hyundai Creta will receive few cosmetic design changes, which will allow the brand to accommodate the third row of seats. The SUV’s rear profile has also been modified, and the spy shots confirm the same. It will receive wider LED tail-lamps integrated on the tailgate. The rear profile is flat compared to the roundish profile of the 5-seater model.

7-seater Hyundai Creta Spied

The previous spy image reveal that the upcoming Hyundai Creta 7-seater SV will come equipped with more prominent front grille with chrome inserts, bigger air-dams and front parking sensors. On sides, the SUV gets new side sills, new roof-rails and slimmer C-pillar and rear quarter glass. Instead of sloping roof, the 7-seater model will have flat roof.

The 7-seat Hyundai Creta is expected to come with 20mm longer wheelbase at 2,630mm (Current car rides on 2,610mm). The length of the SUV has been increased by 30mm, and 10mm longer rear overhang. The increase in length and wheelbase will help the automaker will help the brand to create more space inside the cabin. The Hyundai Creta long-wheelbase model will take on the likes of the upcoming Tata Gravitas, MG Hector Plus and the next-gen Mahindra XUV500.

The Long-wheelbase Hyundai Creta is likely to be offered with the 3 engine options – a 115PS, 1.5L petrol, a 115bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbocharged petrol. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual as standard, a CVT with 1.5L petrol, a torque convertor automatic with 1.5L diesel and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with 1.4L turbocharged petrol.
