7-Seater Hyundai Creta First Image Out – Spotted Testing

7-seater Hyundai Creta Spied

The 7-seater Hyundai Creta SUV has been spotted testing for the first time on the roads of South Korea. The SUV is scheduled to be launched in the Domestic as well as Indian market in 2021. It will rival the likes of the MG Hector Plus and the Tata Gravitas.

The 7-seat Hyundai Creta looks slightly different from the 5-seat 2020 Hyundai Creta, which has recently been launched in our market. The SUV comes equipped with a uniquely designed, chrome-studded radiator grille. The 7-seater model also gets front parking sensors, which is missing in the five-seater variant.

New Hyundai Creta Details

The side profile of the 7-seater Hyundai Creta looks largely similar to the 5-seat derivative. It features 17-inch Clean Silver alloy wheels. The length of the SUV is increased, which is clearly evident from the larger rear overhang. It has a differently styled silver-coloured side sill. The current model has floating roof, while the spotted model has relatively flatter roof. It gets usable roof rail in silver, which merges well with the design of the SUV. The C-pillar design is slimmer, which makes way for a quarter glass to offer third-row occupants a view outside. The 7-seater Hyundai Creta comes with a longer rear overhang to create extra space for the third row of seats. The third row will be decent enough for kids, and won’t offer much for adults. The 5-seater model has a boot space of 433-litres, which is likely to be reduced significantly. However, Hyundai is likely to offer flexible seats to provide larger boot space.

Creta Vs Harrier Vs Hector

The 7-seater Hyundai Creta is likely to share the engine options with the 5-seater model. It will be offered with 3 engine options – a 113bhp, 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel, a 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, a CVT automatic with 1.5L petrol, a torque convertor automatic with 1.5L diesel and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with 1.4L turbo petrol.
