Kia Seltos To Come In 16 Variants & 6 Engine-Gearbox Options
Kia Seltos SUV lineup will be spread across 5 trims and 16 variants.
Kia Motors is all set to commence its Indian operations with the Seltos SUV that’s slated go on sale on August 22, 2019. Unofficial bookings for the vehicle have already begun in Gurugram and Bengaluru. According to an online media report, the Kia Seltos SUV lineup will be spread across 5 trims – E, K, K+, X and X+ – and 16 variants. There will be 6 engines and gearbox combinations on offer.
The Korean carmaker has already confirmed that the Kia Seltos will be available with two body style – HT Line and GT Line. Engine options will include a 140PS, 1.4 turbo GDI petrol, a 115PS, 1.5L petrol and a 115PS, 1.5L CRDi diesel. The SUV will come with multiple transmission options including a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a CVT automatic.

While the 1.5L SmartstreamG petrol with a 6-speed manual gearbox combination will be made available in four variants – THE, HTK, HTK+ and HTX, the 1.5L petrol-CVT will be offered in a single HTX variant. The 1.5L diesel-manual combo will be available across all five trims and the diesel with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission will be offered in HTK+ and HTX+ trims. The Kia Seltos GT Line will be exclusively offered with the most powerful 1.4L turbo GDI petrol that can be had either with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. While the GT manual will come in three variants – GTK, GTX and GTX+, the GT Line automatic will be offered in GTX variant only.
