Select dealers in Gurugram and Bengaluru have started taking bookings for Kia Seltos.
Kia Seltos is ready to hit Indian roads on coming 22nd August. While official bookings for the vehicle will be commenced next week, select dealers (in Gurugram and Bengaluru) have started accepting pre-bookings at an initial sum of Rs 25,000. India will serve as production hub for the SUV. The carmaker will export the Made-in-India Seltos in Middle East, Latin America and other Asian markets by the end of this year.
The Korean carmaker has confirmed that the Kia Seltos will come in two trims – Standard and GT Line, spread across 5 variants – TE, TK, TK+, TX and TX+. From the very first day of its arrival, the Seltos will be available with BS6-ready 1.4L turbo GDI petrol, 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. The model lineup will come with multiple transmission options including a CVT automatic, a 7-speed dual-clutch, a 6-speed torque converter automatic and a 6-speed manual. The Kia Seltos is one of the most feature-loaded SUVs in its segment. It gets UVO connected technology offering 37 smart features under five categories – Remote Control, Navigation, Vehicle Management, Safety and Security and Convenience. When it comes to pricing, the Kia Seltos is estimated to be priced around Rs 10 lakh for the entry-level variant and up to Rs 16 lakh for the range-topping model. If launched in this price range, the new Kia SUV will directly take on the Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and Nissan Kicks.
