Korean automaker, Kia has revealed 16 global models at the 14th edition of Asia’s biggest automotive event – Delhi Auto Expo 2018. Out of these 16 models, the Kia Rio hatchback could be the possible hatchback for the Indian market. The company has showcased the fourth-generation Rio, which was unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.

The Kia Rio is a B-segment hatchback and is based on the i20 platform. The global model measures 4,065mm in length, 1,725mm in width and 1,450mm in height. It comes with a wheelbase of 2,580mm, which ensures spacious cabin for five adults. The Kia Rio hatchback is available with four engine options – 1.0L T-GDI petrol producing two states of tunes – 100PS and 120PS, 84PS 1.2-litre MPI petrol, 100PS 1.4-litre MPI petrol and 90PS 1.4-litre diesel. The new model looks completely different from the regular i20. The vehicle comes equipped with Kia’s signature Tiger-Nose upper grille, bi-projection headlamps with LED daytime running lights and wider air-dams and round-shaped headlamps with chrome treatment. The car is equipped with several high-end tech features including 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with rear-parking camera support. Talking about features, the new model has cruise control, day/night IRVM, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic stability control, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, forward collision warning system and vehicle stability management.
