Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) recently confirmed two Jeep SUVs (an entry-level subcompact SUV and a three-row midsize SUV) for the Indian market. While the sub 4-metre SUV will be stacked up against the Tata Nexon and Ford Ecosport, the premium compact SUV will take on Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur. Besides this, the American SUV maker will also bring a sportier version of its highly popular Compass SUV. Called the Jeep Compass Trailhawk, the new model is all set to hit showrooms in coming days. Here’re 5 things about the SUV that you should know.
1. Off-road Version
Jeep Compass Trailhawk is essentially the off-road version of the Compass. Built for the heavy duty off-roading, the model features Jeep’s Selec-Terrain Traction Management System with a new ‘Rock Mode’. With even power and torque distribution, locking axles and hill descent control settings, it enables the vehicle to overcome the challenging off-road situations at low speeds. What further enhance its off-roading capabilities are Jeep’s Active Drive Low-range 4WD (four-wheel-drive) system and 20mm higher ground clearance. Read – Upcoming Jeep SUVs In India

2. Sporty Styling
Unlike the regular Compass, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets blacked out details and looks sportier. The front and rear bumpers have been revised and get satin metallic black at front and side accents. While the front bumper has dual inbuilt tow hooks, the rear bumper gets a single unit. The SUV features blacked out Jeep badges in red accents and a large ‘Trailhawk’ badge on the boot lid. You will also notice ‘Trail Rated’ moniker on the side fenders. The Compass’ off-road version comes with the exclusive dual tone alloy wheels. It also gets a panoramic sunroof. Read – New Jeep Sub-4 Meter SUV In The Works
