Maruti Eeco
The Maruti Eeco is the cheapest 7-seater family car in the country. The van has basic design and interior that now appear outdated. Under the hood, the model features a 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol engine making 73bhp and 101Nm of torque. The motor returns a claimed power of 73bhp and 101Nm of torque. Its mileage figure stands at 16.11kmpl. The van also comes with a CNG powertrain that promises fuel efficiency of 21.8bhp. Based on the CMF-A+ platform, the Renault Triber is one of the most affordable 7-seater family car in the country. Currently, the model lineup is available in 10 variants priced from Rs 5.92 lakh – Rs 8.51 lakh. Powering the three-row MPV is a 1.0L, 3-cylinder petrol engine making 72bhp and 96Nm. Maruti Ertiga
Maruti Suzuki’s top-selling Ertiga MPV received a facelift earlier this year. The MPV comes with a 1.5L petrol engine boosted with the Dualjet technology and mild hybrid system. Its power and torque outputs stand at 103bhp and 136.8Nm respectively. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission with paddleshifters. The carmaker claims that its manual and automatic versions deliver fuel efficiency of 20.51kmpl and 20.30kmpl respectively. Mahindra Bolero Neo
Mahindra & Mahindra introduced the Bolero Neo in June 2021, which is essentially the updated TUV300. The SUV has been offered in four variants – N4, N8, N10 and N10 (O), which are currently available within the price range of Rs 9.29 lakh – Rs 11.78 lakh. Under the hood, the SUV employs a 1.5L, 3-cylinder diesel engine that’s good for 100bhp and 260Nm. Both manual and AMT gearboxes are on offer. It’s based on the third-generation ladder-frame chassis and comes equipped with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, AC with Eco mode and height adjustable driver’s seat. Mahindra Bolero
The Mahindra Bolero SUV model lineup is available in B4, B6 and B6 Opt variants, which are priced at Rs 9.53 lakh, Rs 10 lakh and Rs 10.48 lakh respectively. It can be had in three monotone colour schemes – Lakeside Brown, Diamond White and Mist Silver. For power, the SUV uses a 1.5L mHawk diesel motor paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Kia Carens
Currently, the Kia Carens MPV is available in 19 variants which are priced from Rs 9.60 lakh – Rs 11.40 lakh. With Rs 12 lakh budget, you can get the Premium petrol, Prestige petrol, Premium Turbo petrol and Premium diesel variants. The MPV comes with three engine options – a 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, a 140bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5L diesel. All three motors can be had with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra Scorpio Classic was recently launched in two variants S and S11, which are priced at Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh. It’s one of the most affordable 7-seater family cars, which is currently on sale in India. The model comes in three seating layouts – 7-seater with captain seats in the middle row and a bench in the third row, 7-seater with bench in the second row and two jump seats in the third row and 9-seater with a bench in the middle row and jump seats in the rear.
