Mahindra & Mahindra will soon introduce its highly-popular Bolero SUV with the brand’s new Twin Peaks logo. Recently, the model was caught on camera featuring Mahindra’s new badge at the rear spare wheel. While there is no official word, some media reports suggest that the Mahindra Bolero will receive a mid-life update in near future. The test mule of the SUV was spotted testing that was painted in done-tone colour. At present, the Bolero comes in three monotone shades – Lakeside Brown, Mist Silver and Diamond White.
The new dual-tone colour scheme could be offered on the updated model. The automaker might also make some cosmetic changes to the new Mahindra Bolero facelift. Speculations are on rife that the new Twin Peaks moniker will also be introduced with the facelifted version.
Earlier this year, Mahindra rolled out the Bolero SUV with the standard dual airbags. The SUV model lineup is available in 3 trims – B4, B6 and B6 Opt – which are priced at Rs 9.33 lakh, Rs 10 lakh and Rs 10.26 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Powering the SUV is a 1.5L mHawk diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The oil burner delivers a claimed power of 75bhp at 3600rpm and 210Nm of torque at 1600rpm. It has RWD (rear-wheel drive) system.
In other updates, the home-grown automaker is getting ready to launch the 2022 Mahindra XUV300 with a new, more powerful 1.2L petrol T-GDI mStallion engine. While the existing 1.2L gasoline unit makes 110bhp, the new motor will be good enough for 130bhp and 230Nm. The subcompact SUV will also be offered with the existing 1.5L diesel mill pushing out power worth 115bhp and 300Nm of torque. There will be two gearboxes on offer – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT.
More details on the new 2022 Mahindra Bolero SUV will be revealed in coming weeks. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
