MG Motor India had launched the new ZS EV facelift in the country in early 2022. The electric SUV was introduced in two variants – Excite and Exclusive; however, only the top-spec Exclusive variant was on sale. The company has now announced the prices of the MG ZS EV Excite base variant.
When it was officially launched, the Excite base trim was priced at Rs 21.99 lakh and the top-spec Exclusive trim was introduced at Rs 25.88 lakh. This time around, MG has announced a price hike. The base variant is now available at Rs 22.58 lakh and the Exclusive variant now costs Rs 26.49 lakh. The Excite variant is now costlier by Rs 59,000, while the Exclusive trim gets expensive by Rs 61,000.
The MG ZS EV Excite and the Exclusive trims come equipped with the same 50.3kWh battery pack and promise to offer a driving range of 461km on a single charge. The electric motor draws power from the battery, and offers 174bhp and 280Nm of torque. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in 8.5 seconds.
The base variant comes equipped with features like a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a 360 degree camera, climate control, hill descent control, rear air conditioning vents and new i-Smart connected car features. The top-spec Exclusive variant gets panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, rear driver assist and others. The new model will take on the likes of the Mahindra XUV400 and the Tata Nexon EV MAX.
