Hyundai Venue Effect: Ford EcoSport Gets Cheaper by up to Rs 57,000
The Ford EcoSport receives a price drop ranges from Rs 14,000 to Rs 57,000.
Seeing the rising competition, Ford India has introduced the new EcoSport Thunder Edition. Adding to it, the company has also announced revised pricing for the EcoSport compact SUV. The popular compact SUV range now starts at Rs 7.69 lakh for the base variant which goes up to Rs 11.33 lakh for the top-end model. This means, that the EcoSport receives a price drop ranges from Rs 14,000 to Rs 57,000.

The move comes after the launch of the Hyundai Venue, which is priced significantly lower than its competition. Moreover, the Mahindra XUV300 is also doing pretty decent in terms of sales. With the revised pricing, Ford is aiming to improve the sales of the EcoSport in the highly competitive sub-4 meter SUV segment.
Besides introducing the new Thunder variant, Ford has also updated the features on offer with the EcoSport. The Trend variant is now equipped with driver’s height adjustable seat and a lighter beige interior theme, while the Titanium trim gets beige interior theme and front map lamps. However, it misses out on alloy pedals.
The Ford EcoSport Titanium+ variant gets additional features like electric sunroof, a large 9.0-ich touchscreen infotainment system and new fabric upholstery. However, this model loses interior ambient lighting, Ford SYNC3, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and leather seats. These features are now only offered in the top-spec S trim.
The Ford EcoSport SUV is available in 3 engine options – a 100bhp, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel, a 123bhp, 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol and a 125bhp, 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque convertor (1.5L petrol & 1.0L EcoBoost).
