Honda Small RS Concept previews a small, sporty-looking hatchback, which is likely to be the next-generation Honda Brio

Japanese automaker, Honda has unveiled an all-new car at the 2018 Indonesia International Motor Show. Called Honda Small RS Concept, the new concept previews a small, sporty-looking hatchback. This model is likely to be the next-generation Brio, which is likely to make global debut in 2019-20.

Honda Small RS Concept Unveiled

The Honda Small RS Concept was finished in Phoenix Orange Pearl paint. Face of the concept shares design cues from the Mobilio facelift, which was launched in Indonesia earlier this year. It comes with a body kit, air-vents on the fenders, a hood-scoop and blacked-out treatments. The Small RS concept also features large all-black alloy wheels, but the production model will have different alloys. Besides, the hatchback gets a faux diffuser and a rear spoiler. On closer look, the hatchback clearly previews the next-generation Brio. Instead of the all-glass hatch in the current model, the concept features a conventional hatch. In facts, the tail-light design is all new.

Honda is yet to reveal details on the Honda Small RS concept. The current-gen Brio RS is powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 89bhp and a peak torque of 109Nm. Honda Small RS Concept Desigm

While the Indonesian launch for the next Brio could happen in late 2018 or early 2019, India launch is unlikely to happen anytime soon. Honda is currently focusing on premium segment for the Indian market. The company will soon launch the new generation Amaze compact sedan, which will be followed by new CRV and Civic.
