Honda Cars India has announced that it will increase the prices of all its models in the range of Rs 10,000 – Rs 35,000.

Honda Cars India has announced that it will increase the prices of all its models in the range of Rs 10,000 – Rs 35,000. The new prices will be effective from August 1, 2018. The company claims that the increase in prices is due to rising custom duty and increasing input and freight costs.

Honda also confirmed that the price of the newly launched Honda Amaze will also be revised. The company said that the introductory price of the recently launched All New Amaze will also be revised from August. Mr. Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “Due to the increasing pressure on input costs, impact of custom duty hike over past few months and higher freight rates, we are forced to consider increasing the prices of our cars. The increased price will be effective from 1 August 2018.”

After launching the new Amaze, Honda is now gearing up for the launch of new generation CR-V and Civic in India. The company has already confirmed that both the models will be launched before March 2019. While the CR-V 7-seater SUV will go on sale during Diwali 2018, the new Civic is likely to be launched in the Q1, 2019. Both the cars will be powered by a tried and tested 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine producing 120bhp and 300Nm of torque.
