Hero Xtreme 200R will be made available across the nation in August, 2018. Its pan India prices will also be announced in coming days. Currently, the naked sports bike is offered in the North Eastern states and West Bengal at Rs 88,000 (ex-showroom). The bike was first previewed in its concept form at the 2016 Auto Expo, and its production version was put up on display at the 2018 Auto Expo.
In 200cc motorcycle space, the Hero Xtreme 200R takes head-to-head against the TVS Apace RTR 200 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 that cost Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.00 lakh respectively. That means, the Xtreme 200R undercuts both its arch rivals.

At the engine front, the Hero Xtreme 200R gets a 199.6 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, two-valve motor with CV Carburetor fuel system. Paired to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine can deliver a top power of 18.1bhp at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm at 6,500rpm. The bike sits on a diamond type chassis and has a self & kick starting system. Suspension mechanism of the Xtreme 200R consists of 37mm telescopic forks with antifriction bush upfront and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear. For braking system, it gets 276mm disc up front and 220mm disc rear brake with a single channel antilock braking system. Some of its key design bits include wolf eyed signature LED pilot lamps, aggressive tank shrouds, dual tone body graphics, LED taillight and chiseled rear cowl. The bike comes in five colour schemes – Heavy Grey with Orange, Black with Sports Red, Sports Red, Panther Black with Force Silver and Techno Blue.
