Ford India recorded its highest ever monthly sales ever in June 2016 thanks to the great demand in both domestic as well as export markets. The company sold a total of 19,754 vehicles in June 2016, as against 7,979 units in the corresponding month last year. This is over 147 percent year-on-year increase in its sales.
While the company’s domestic sales in June 2016 was 9,469 against 4,527 units in the same month last year, it exported a total of 10,285 vehicles in the month. The company had exported 3,452 units in June 2015.
“The recent announcements of Seventh Pay Commission, along with the prediction of normal monsoon and scrappage policy are keeping the industry optimistic about future growth,” said Anurag Mehrotra, executive director, Marketing, Sales, and Service at Ford India.
“At Ford, we have continued to maintain a strong growth momentum thanks to our transparent and industry first service initiatives like Service Price Promise and Parts Calculator. We are equally gratified by the customer response to our freshest product portfolio on offer and will soon strengthen it with the introduction of iconic Ford Mustang.”, he added.
In a bid to bring down the overall cost of ownership and enchance customer convenience, Ford India has been investing heavily on making its genuine service parts available across all regions of the country. The company recently appointed Khodiyar Ford Parts as the exclusive distributor of Ford’s genuine spare parts for Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Silvassa.
Khodiyar Ford is the company’s 7th such distributor, and the company already has retail distributors covering Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana.
