Ford Freestyle To Get Minor Updates & A New Colour – Report
The Ford Freestyle is reported get a new Ruby Red colour, body-coloured ORVMs and adjustable rear headrests.
According to a fresh report, Ford India will soon introduce a new Ruby Red colour scheme on the Freestyle model lineup. The crossover will also get minor cosmetic and feature upgrades including the body-coloured ORVMs and adjustable rear headrests. No other changes will be made to the car. Currently, the Ford Freestyle is available in four variants with petrol and diesel engine options – Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+. Prices of the petrol models start from Rs 5.23 lakh and go up to Rs 7.03 lakh. The diesel variants, on the other hand, are priced in the range of Rs 6.18 lakh – Rs 7.89 lakh. The Ford Freestyle marked debut of the company’s new 1.2L, 3-cylinder Dragon series petrol engine that’s good for 95bhp and 120Nm of torque. The diesel motor is the 1.5L motor, borrowed from the Ford EcoSport, pushes out a maximum power of 99bhp and 215Nm of peak torque.
Both the powertrain comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The carmaker might soon introduce an automatic version of the cross-hatch. The petrol variants deliver a claimed mileage of 19kmpl, and the diesel models give 24.4kmpl. Read – Ford Freestyle Accessories Explained
Features such as automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Ford MyKey and side and curtain airbags are exclusively made available on the top-spec trim. At the safety front, the crossover gets dual airbags, ABS (antilock brkaing system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), rear fog lamp and reverse parking sensors as standard.
