BS6 Maruti Suzuki Eeco Launch Price Rs 3.81 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki has rolled out the BS6 Eeco MPV at a starting price of Rs 3.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The top-end 5-seater AC petrol variant costs Rs 4.21 lakh. That means the updated model is around Rs 20,000 – Rs 30,000 more expensive than the BS4 version (depending on the variant). Prices of the BS6 Maruti Eeco CNG model are yet to be revealed. The Maruti Eeco MPV is the 9th BS6-complaint model from the Indo-Japanese carmaker in the country. Powering the updated model is the BS6-compliant version of the existing 1.2L, 4-cylinder engine makes power worth 73bhp and a peak torque of 101Nm.
While the power figure remains unchanged, the torque has been reduced by 3Nm. Compared to the BS4 version that delivers a claimed mileage of 15.37kmpl, the BS6 Maruti Eeco promises fuel economy of 16.11kmpl. The CNG variant of the MPV returns fuel efficiency of 21.8kmpl. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India, has revealed that the Maruti Eeco has been favoured for its spacious cabin and low cost of maintenance. Launched in 2010, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco has completed a successful decade in the country. Within two years of its arrival, the MPV registered sales over 1 lakh units. The carmaker has sold over 6.5 lakh units of the vehicle so far.
