BS6 Maruti Suzuki Celerio Launched at Rs 4.41 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki India today rolled out the BS6-complaint Celerio hatchback at a starting price of Rs 4.41 lakh. The top-end ZXi (O) AMT variant costs Rs 5.67 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Under the hood, the BS6 Maruti Celerio features the same 998cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine meeting the upcoming emission standards. No changes have been made to its power and torque figures. The hatchback delivers power worth 68bhp and 90Nm of torque.
Compared to its BS4 version, the BS6 Maruti Celerio might be slightly less fuel economical. Transmissions on offer are the same 5-speed manual and AMT unit. The hatchback continues to come with the standard driver-side airbag, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), speed alert system, seat-belt reminder and rear parking sensors safety fitments. Ahead of implementation of BS6 emission norms from 1st April 2020, the Indo-Japanese carmaker has updated its entire product lineup (except the Celerio X, Alto K10 and Ignis). The company will soon give a mid-life updated to the Ignis that has been revealed via leaked pictures. The 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift will receive minor cosmetic and feature upgrades along with the BS6-complaint powertrains.
