Bajaj e-Chetak Scooter – What To Expect
Bajaj Auto is all set to foray into electric scooter segment with an all-new model that will be unveiled on 16th October, 2019. The company’s first electric two-wheeler will come under its new division – Urbanite. With the introduction of its new electric sub-brand, Bajaj will bring back its iconic Chetak brand name in the country.
Electric Engine
This time around, the Bajaj Chetak will come with an electric powertrain. Technical details of the scooter are still under the wraps. The two-wheeler manufacturer will reveal its specifications and features at its unveiling event on 16th October in Delhi.
Retro-Modern Design
We have seen design sketches and multiple spy pictures of the Bajaj e-Chetak scooter. Similar to the global-spec Vespa, the Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter will feature retro-modern design language. It will run on multi-spoke alloy wheels and have LED headlamp and taillamps. Design bits such as a wide front apron, apron mounted turn indicators, curvy side panels and stepped seat will add more to its retro look.
Connectivity Features
While official details of the Bajaj e-Chetak will be revealed next week, it’s likely to be packed with high-end features. It might come with several AI (Artificial Intelligence) features and Bluetooth support. The Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter will also get a fully digital instrument console. Its suspension setup will include a single-sided trailing arm unit at the front axle. Read – 4 New Bajaj Bikes Coming To India
