Bajaj Chetak Coming Back As Electric Scooter On 16th October
Bajaj Auto will launch an all-new product on 16th October, 2019 at an event in Delhi. The media invite reads “We wrote history now we will write the future”. While the two-wheeler maker hasn’t yet revealed the product name and details, it’s likely to Bajaj’s first electric scooter under its new Urbanite electric vehicle brand. Rumour has it that the new Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter could be named – Bajaj e-Chetak.
A few months back, we have seen first spy pictures of the new Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter. The spotted model carries a retro-modern design similar to the global-spec Vespa scooters. It features a wide front apron, curvy side panels, new multi-spoke alloy wheels and twin slanting LED taillamps.
The Bajaj e-Chetak will also get LED headlamps, apron mounted turn indicators and stepped seat along with a fully digital instrument console. It’s likely to be packed with multiple AI (Artificial Intelligence) features and Bluetooth connectivity. The new Bajaj Urbanite electric scooter is estimated to be priced over Rs 1 lakh (on-road). It will take head-to-head against electric scooters from Ather, 22 Motors and Okinawa.
