The new Toyota Camry will arrive in the CKD form from Thailand and will be assembled in Bidadi (Karnataka).

The all-new Toyota Camry sedan is all set to go on sale in India in January 2019. In fact, the sedan has been listed on the Toyota’s local website. The sedan will arrive in the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kit from Thailand and will be assembled in Bidadi (Karnataka). The sedan will only available in hybrid version and is likely to be priced around Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom).

The eighth generation Camry is 4,885mm, 1,840mm and 1,445mm in length, width and height, respectively. The sedan has a wheelbase of 2,825mm, which should translate into spacious cabin. It is available in single version globally, but in different forms – elegant and sporty forms.

The new Toyota Camry sedan for available with a Hybrid variant, which features the A25A-FXS 2.5-litre petrol engine with the 3NM of electric motor. While the petrol engine is capable of producing 178PS of power and 221Nm of torque, the electric motor offers 120PS and 202Nm of torque. The combined power output is 211PS. The all-new Toyota Camry sedan will be available with several high-end features like LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, LED fog lamps, LED rear combination lamps, head-up display, triple zone climate control, capacitive rear touch controller, nine airbags and 7-inch MID. The new-gen Camry sedan is based on Toyota’s new Global Architecture (GA-K) platform, which also underpins the new Lexus ES 300h. Upfront is a V-shaped element and a grille that connects the headlamps and a large air-dam. The sedan comes with prominent creases along the sides, while the raised boot-lip gives it a sporty stance.
