All-New Thunderbird To Be Called Royal Enfield Meteor?
We all have been waiting for the new Royal Enfield bikes, which are due for this year. The lineup will include the new-generation Classic 350, Thunderbird X 350, Bullet 350 and the all-new women-centric bike. Codenamed (J1C0), the new RE women-centric motorcycle will have lower and more comfortable seating position to offer. In fact, these bikes will be lighter and more affordable than the other RE models.
The new affordable Royal Enfield bike is reported to be retailed under the Explorer brand. It will be first product to roll out under the brand’s strategy to launch at least one new product every quarter from 2020. The new affordable bike from RE will it hit showrooms in the first quarter of this year, followed by the new-generation Thunderbird.
According to a latest media report, the 2020 RE Thunderbird might be renamed as Royal Enfield Meteor. We have seen multiple spy pictures of the bike’s new-generation model revealing interesting design details. Rumour has it that the bike might get a bigger capacity engine derived from RE Interceptor 650 twins. The Royal Enfield Meteor (new Thunderbird) will also witness noticeable design changes and feature upgrades. There will be a new single-pod instrument console with a LCD screen positioned between the analogue speedometer. The seat will be new and more comfortable with better cushioning. The RE Meteor will also feature a round headlamp with LED DRLs, blacked out alloys, revised circular taillamps, low set turn indicators and new handgrips. There will be new, retro-styled high beam and toggle switches for ignition. The new Thunderbird will go on sale in the second quarter of 2020.
