India’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki will introduce three updated models in the next six months. While the Celerio hatchback and Vitara Brezza subcompact SUV will receive a generation change, the XL6 MPV will get a mid-life update. The new Maruti Celerio is reported to arrive towards the end of this year. The model will witness significant changes inside and out along with the bigger dimensions and a more refined engine.
The Maruti XL6 facelift and new-generation Vitara Brezza are rumoured to hit roads in January and February 2022 respectively. If reports are to be believed, the company might introduce the 7-seater version of the XL6, which is already on sale in the Indonesian market as Suzuki XL7. The MPV will also receive minor cosmetic and feature upgrades. The 2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza is reported to come with the stronger hybrid technology with the existing petrol engine. The compact SUV is likely to witness noticeable changes in terms of design and features.
Mahindra & Mahindra is ready to roll out 4 new models in the next six months including XUV700, Marazzo AMT, e-KUV100 and new-generation Scorpio. While prices of the 5-seater Mahindra XUV700 have already been announced, the price list of the 7-seater model will be revealed in October 2021. The SUV will come in 34 variants and 4 trims, packed with the segment’s most powerful petrol and diesel engines.
The Mahindra Marazzo AMT is reported to hit showrooms towards the end of 2021. The MPV will get ‘AutoShift’ tech with the 123bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel engine. The Mahindra e-KUV100 electric mini SUV and the all-new Scorpio are expected see a release in early 2022. The small electric SUV features a 15.9kWh battery pack with a 54.4bhp electric motor. It’s claimed to offer a range of up to 150km. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will come with improved styling, up-marker interior and a new engine setup.
