2021 Jeep Compass Exterior, Interior Details Emerge
The American SUV manufacturer recently confirmed three new vehicles for India including the Jeep Compass facelift. The company has also revealed that the updated Compass will see a release early next year. Minor design changes will made to the vehicle. The 2021 Jeep Compass will carry narrower headlamps slightly overrunning the front fender.
The front grille and bumper will also be revised. The signature seven slits grid will be moved upwards. The lower air intake and fog lamp frames will witness subtle change. While the side profile will remain less or more similar to the current model, it will get updated bumper and LED taillamps at the rear.
The biggest change will be made inside the cabin. The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will receive a new infotainment system with a large 12.3-inch portrait-style display. It’s the FCA’s latest UConnect5 infotainment unit that was unveiled at the Consumer Electronic Show last year.
Backed by 6G RAM and 64G storage, the system supports Amazon Alexa along with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. With respect to safety, the SUV might get driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.
In Brazilian market, the updated Compass will be offered with a 1.3L Firefly T4 flex fuel engine with a new CVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox. The SUV will come with FWD (front-wheel-drive) system. As of now, there is no clarity whether the Sport variant will be offered with the flex fuel engine or not.
